🍴 Gastronomic Weeks in Formentera: two weeks to discover the island’s cuisine

From May 11 to 24, Formentera transforms into a great laboratory of flavours. The Gastronomic Weeks are the time of year when the island’s restaurants open their kitchens to an extraordinary offering: special menus designed exclusively for the occasion, built around the region’s native products and crafted by those who know this land better than anyone else. Two weeks, one island, and all its culinary identity concentrated on the table.

Traditional cuisine reinterpreted

The heart of the Gastronomic Weeks is not simply the food: it is the story that each restaurant tells about Formentera through its ingredients. The proposed menus are not just a reimagined version of the regular menu, but creations specifically designed for this event, where traditional cuisine is reinterpreted with a contemporary perspective. Local products — from fresh catch to garden vegetables, from artisanal cheeses to typical oils — become the absolute protagonists of dishes that reflect the Mediterranean soul of the island. All at particularly affordable prices, designed to invite both residents and visitors to sit down and taste without reservations.

Vote for your favourite menu and win 500 euros

The Gastronomic Weeks are not just a passive culinary journey: those who participate have a say. Each diner can vote for their favourite menus, helping to determine the winner of the competition. The restaurant with the most votes will win a cash prize of 1,500 euros, and second prize will receive 1,000 euros – a well-deserved award to those who passionately promote local gastronomy.
But there is an additional incentive for those who participate as protagonists. Anyone who votes in at least two different restaurants will be automatically entered into a draw with a prize of 500 euros in cash. Tasting and voting thus become not only a gesture of support for the island’s cuisine but also an opportunity to win something. The legal bases of the contest and the draw are published on the Formentera Town Hall website.

How to participate

To fully enjoy the Gastronomic Weeks, it is advisable to contact the restaurants directly to make a reservation and check the availability of the special menus, especially on weekends when the attendance tends to be higher. Not all establishments offer the menus every day of the week, so a quick phone call or message before showing up ensures you don’t miss the opportunity.
The event covers two full weekends — May 11 and 12, then from the 16th to the 24th — offering various participation windows for those on the island during this period.

Formentera on a Plate: because it’s worth being there

Formentera is often described through its beaches, its light, its sea. The Gastronomic Weeks are an opportunity to get to know it in a different, more intimate way, through what grows and is fished here, and through the hands of those who transform these raw materials into something memorable. On an island where the restaurant industry is historically tied to seasonality and small local production, an event like this holds a value that goes beyond a simple meal: it is an act of cultural preservation and enhancement of the territory.
If you are in Formentera during this time, mark the dates in your calendar. And if you’re thinking of coming, this could be the right excuse.

PakarPBN

A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.

In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.

The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
